1987 graduated as an architect at the Hoger Architectuur Instituut Gent, shortly after his studies Thomas traveled to Sardine to experience at the engineering office of Romano Antico.
1987- 1988 internship in Switzerland at the architectural office of the architect-urbanist Claude Rollier (SIA - EPFL) in Neuchâtel. In 1989, he completes his internship for Paul Lievevrouw, in Group Planning, where he will operate until 1991, with a break for military service.
1991 - 1992 worked in several offices, in order to become fully active in the office of his father, Francis Serck. In 1994 Thomas becomes the responsible of the architectural office Serck.
1995 Honorable mention Provinciale Prijs voor Architectuur van Oost Vlaanderen for the renovation of the two Art Deco houses, Papegaaistraat Ghent and Certificate for successful Restoration, cum laude awarded by the Association for Local History in East-Flanders.
Since 1985 he is a member of the Flemish trade association Architects Union (BVA East-Flanders). He serves on behalf of the professional association in the committee of the province of East Flanders and Waasland.

In 1984 Thomas was local chairman of the Interclub Committee and International Relations of 'Rotaract International Ghent - Haven. He is currently an active member of Lions Club Ghent Scaldis, which he made part of the secretariat from 1997 to 2000 and for the period
2002-2004 appointed to secretary.
Member of the Defence Committee of Arch Index. Since 1994, this corporation sends, thanks to the support of private companies, the literature Arch Index and newsletters to all independent architects and engineers-architects of the Dutch-speaking area, for free. Arch Index is aimed at the office practice of architects and engineering.
He is concerned with the way people live together, he was active in the residents of the neighborhood and serves on the Steering Committee for the aftercare area St. Macharius from 1995 to 2001.
2004 Architects and college friends (HAISG-1987) Pascal Bilquin en Thomas Serck decided after more than 10 years of an own practice in separate fields to join their forces into a new platform for urban planning, architecture and design. Bilquin Serck architecten
As a member of the municipal planning commission (GECORO) he follows the urban development closely and formulate relevant recommendations. Since 2009, a member of the ‘Oude Dokken’, where he represents UNIZO.
As a member of the "Technical Committee architects" of the WTCB, he represents the professional organization BVA. This platform changes the latest knowledge, insights and experiences among the corps of architects and WTCB.
Since February 2009, part of the energy-conscious architects, an initiative of the Flemish Government, NAV vzw and BVA vzw, to promote energy efficient building.
He serves the board of UNIZO Ghent and since 2010 he is member of the Steering Committee of the Federation of Free Intellectual Professions (Vrije Intellectuele Beroepen).
1987 Pascal graduated as an architect at the Hoger Architectuur Instituut Gent.
1987 – 1988 internship at Yves Lepere by focusing on a combination of urban projects in France and small scale projects as houses etc.
After finishing his internship, apart from building his own practice, Pascal was partly assisting in divers architectural offices:
1989 - 1991 / 1993 - 1995 architectenbureau Michel Grandsard.
1992 architect Jean Vanden Bogaerde.
Since 1996 Pascal is partly independant coworker at the architectural office “Vincent Van Duysen Architects” and works parttime on his own projects.
He participated several competitions and exhibitions. In 1988 Pascal received an award of the Social Housing.
1996 First prize energy competition Elektrabel.
