Born in 1969 in Gent, Belgium.

He received his Master in Architecture at the HSLI, Gent, in 1993.

Assistant at Studio for Creative Engineering and Urban Planning, arch. Hugo Koch until 1997.

Start of own office, Wim Goes Architectuur in 1998.

Received the Architecture Award of the Province East-Flanders First Prize and the Architecture Award of the Order of Architects for the office building Compagnie in 2002.

In 2005 he received the First Prize of the Belgian Awards for a barn in Wortegem-Petegem and in 2007 Award for the competition ‘Agents for Human Interaction’, Honourable mention, at the Royal Academy of Arts in Londen for the Museum Square between S.M.A.K. and M.S.K., Citadelpark Gent

Other major projects and designs are house ‘L’ in Kortrijk, ARTfarm2 in Beijing, flagship store Yohji Yamamoto in Antwerp while also designing galleries and exhibitions for contemporary art.

Wim Goes has been a lecturer design studio since 2005  at the HSLI, Gent, department Architecture.

In 2006 he becomes member of B.A.T. architectuur, Belgium-Shangai.

In 2006 he participated the Glenn Murcutt Masterclass in Sydney, Australia and the New Zealand Masterclass in 2008.

Wim Goes Architectuur
