This master plan for the development of a European theme park on mobility proposes an architectural programme based on surface calculations, the potential compatibility of the different functions, a vision of mobility and the definition of the necessary public spaces.
The project occupies the former motor-racing track Autódromo de Sitges-Terramar, inaugurated in 1923 and listed as a heritage site. The study seeks to develop the relationship between urban planning and the economy according to three axes – a city to work in, a city to live in, and a city to relax in – through the following programme:
- a commercial activity combined with SMI activity in the field of technology linked to the car sector;
- a hotel and conference centre comprising a business park;
- the restoration of the track in the form of leisure areas and cultural facilities like a car museum and the valorization of its exceptional industrial heritage.
