Namib Film Set

The South Korean drama series, "Namib", tells the moving story of the widely differing characters Kang Suhyun, a fallen producer, and Yoo Jinwoo, a talented, but forgotten, trainee, who fight together for a new start in the unforgiving world of the entertainment industry. The series deals with sensitive themes such as mobbing, impairments, motherhood and personal crises, and gives them depth with an authentic narrative. In the process, both the harshness of showbusiness and the strength of individual new beginnings are revealed.

The multilayered account in the story is reflected in the set design, which was matched to the characters and the arc of their development with great design precision. Various scene spaces unfold in each case a different atmosphere – sometimes reduced and calm, sometimes expressive and rich in contrast – and thus contribute significantly to the depth of the plot. In six of these sets, products from JUNG are used. Switches, sockets, room controllers and audio systems from various design ranges were specifically selected to support the design concept of the respective rooms, not only functionally, but also to accentuate the design.
