Neben der Erweiterung zur Ganztagsschule soll die Hans-Christian-Andersen-Schule auch zur Stadtteilschule als Anlaufstelle mit vielseitigen Angeboten für Menschen aus dem Stadtteil entwickelt werden. Leitidee unseres Entwurfs ist die Schaffung eines städtischen Platzes mit Schule, Sporthalle und Erweiterungsbau als Ensemble. Ein langgestreckter zweigeschossiger Ziegelbau entlang des Ostrings bildet eine deutliche Platzwand – eine verglaste Loggia bietet vielseitige Nutzungsmöglichkeiten für Schule und Stadtteil am neuen Platz.
