OPENNESS, EXPERIENCE & CUSTOM DESIGN
The house offers a serene living experience, even though it is located along a busy main road. A patio and a recessed entrance hall provide an acoustic buffer. A separate volume divides the living area from the kitchen. The sofa is positioned to allow views in two directions: toward the fireplace or the built-in cabinet wall with a concealed TV. Large façade openings maximize the connection with the garden.
Materials are used consistently throughout the house—for example, the cabinet wall in the living area extends seamlessly into a widened window sill at the patio. A distinctive feature of the custom furniture is its lightness: rather than appearing solid, the elements float delicately within the space.

OPEN, BELEVING & MAATWERK
De woning biedt belevingen in een oase van rust, ook al ligt ze langs een drukke steenweg. Een patio, een terugliggende inkomhal zorgen voor een akoestische buffer. Een volume scheidt de zitruimte van de leefkeuken. De zetel is geplaatst zodat in twee richtingen gekeken kan worden: naar de haard of kastenwand met verborgen tv. Grote gevelopeningen bieden maximaal contact met de tuin.
De materialen komen consequent doorheen de woning terug, kijk bijvoorbeeld naar de kastenwand in de zitruimte die overloopt in een verbreed venstertablet aan de patio. Bijzonder aan het maatmeubilair is dat het niet massief is, maar zich als lichte, elementen manifesteert.
