In a dense urban location, between steep slopes and a main street, a diverse complex of buildings for various uses was developed, incorporating a historic brewery building. The new buildings were arranged on both sides of a side street with a connecting bridge for the upper floors. The corner facing the public square was emphasized with a large glass façade. A nursing home with 72 care places for old and young people, a social center, several shops and a bank, doctor's offices, the administration and some appartments are placed in the new building parts. The renovated historic building houses a community center, several club rooms and some additional apartments. The former ballroom of the brewery restaurant was turned into a restaurant that opens up to the historic terraced beer garden with beautiful trees. The characteristic brick walls of the new buildings establish a perfect integration of old and new construction.
