Opened in February 2018, the first niu by NOVUM Hospitality invites guests from around the world to experience the rich history of the city of Essen. This young and hip hotel concept playfully interprets the city’s mining past, combined with its present day lively street art scene. Artists from `Viva con Agua Art´ created unique art pieces specially for the hotel. This unique design concept anchored in the location of Essen and its industrial past features throughout the hotel and is brought to life through several playfully integrated design elements.
