“B2Binz” marks the gateway to the commercial area of Binz in Zurich’s south. The long building stretches from the railway station in the north to Grubenstrasse to the south, where the narrow front façade rises high in the sky. Long bands of windows encircle the building, alternating with metal-panelled parapets, emphasising the horizontal aspect. The stepped east façade mediates between the large-scale commercial buildings to the west and the adjacent residential development. At the same time, the protruding volumes create attractive terraces for the service businesses located on the fourth floor and above. The lower levels are reserved for manufacturing.
